Church Training & Equipping
The One Roof is here to help churches confidently open their doors to individuals with disabilities and their families to engage in the life of their church. This can include participating in Sunday worship, Sunday schools, weekly programs and serving opportunities. The process for training and equipping includes, but is not limited to onsite consultations with church leaders, adaptive ministry training for core church teams, ongoing support and impact follow up.
Disabilities and Your Church Symposium
This symposium is intended to equip church leaders and volunteers with practical ways to welcome or enhance ministry to those living with special needs. This interactive, half day offering includes a panel of experts to speak on relevant topics such as positive behavior support, safety, communications and social skills. Guests leave with practical and relevant information that they can use right away in their home ministries.
Adaptive Ministry Roundtable
The Adaptive Ministry Roundtable provides a forum for leaders and volunteers of special needs ministries to develop a network, share ideas and be inspired and refreshed in their ministry work. Participants work in small groups to discuss relevant topics, gain new insights and develop relationships. In addition, a guest speaker is invited to deliver an inspiring and Biblical message to fortify participants in their mission. Church staff and volunteers are invited whether they have ministries in place or are interested in establishing ministries.
